Services
Tooth Whitening: (sometimes called tooth bleaching)
This process involves a custom-made clear whitening tray and whitening gel.
The tray is worn in your mouth for several hours nightly for a period of
two to three weeks. It is much more effective than over-the-counter tooth
whitening products. Ask about our whitening special and gift certificates
for family and friends.
Air Abrasion (No Shot) Dentistry:
Air abrasion is a unique gentle alternative to the dental drill. Very seldom
is a shot necessary, eliminating that uncomfortable lingering numbness after
the appointment is over. Air abrasion works by delivering a gentle stream
of air and microabrasive powder, which removes decay quickly
and gently. The precision
of this new technology allows treatment of dental decay in its earliest
stages. Tooth-colored fillings placed using air abrasion will last longer
than traditional "silver" fillings because of the smaller amount
of healthy tooth that will need to be removed.
Porcelain Veneers and Crowns:
Porcelain veneers and crowns have been available for over 25 years. They
are made of porcelain by a dental lab and cemented to the outside of the
tooth. They are used to correct discolored teeth, crooked teeth, teeth with
spaces in between them or teeth stained by old yellowed fillings. More
information & before/after photos
Tooth-colored fillings:
The days of putting black metal in white teeth are over! We can replace
old silver fillings with beautiful state-of-the-art tooth "composite"
or "porcelain" fillings, onlays, veneers and metal-free crowns.
Painless
Dentistry:
We cater to cowards. We offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) sedation and
headphones to watch movies during your appointment. Oral medications that
will also help to relax you are available on request.
Dentures
and Partial Dentures:
More extensive dental care to replace multiple missing teeth is also available
in our office. Older serviceable dentures and partials can be relined or
repaired in a one-hour visit while you wait.
Implant
Dentistry:
A dental implant to replace a missing tooth is the closest thing to what
Mother Nature gave you! No more flossing under bridges or removing partial
dentures to clean underneath several times a day. Ask about this wonderful
new technology.
Pediatric
Dentistry:
As a mother of children herself, Dr. Blazer is very comfortable with all
phases of children's dental care, including sealants, tooth colored fillings,
extractions prior to orthodontic treatment, and much more. Our younger patients
LOVE to rummage through our treasure box of toys after their appointments
are complete. Ask us what you should know about fluoride for children starting
as young as 6 months.
Advanced
Sterilization:
All of our instruments and treatment areas meet or exceed the guidelines
of OSHA and the American Dental Association for infection control. We completely
sterilize handpieces as well as all of our other instruments. Whenever possible,
we use disposable items. Please ask our clinical staff questions about our
infection contral procedures. We are very proud of the measures we take
to protect your health as well as our own.
